HCC Student Researcher Andrew Heffner Presents at Regional Accreditation Conference
I am at day two of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education annual conference, and ran into one of Howard Community College’s fine student scholars Andrew Heffner. Andrew just completed his HCC degree requirements yesterday, and came to Philly to showcase at the conference’s research exhibition on the impact of community gardens on insects and humans in suburban communities throughout Columbia.
His research was elaborate, his presentation stellar, and he’s bringing all of that talent next year to the University of Maryland where he will major in plant science as a Terrapin. But Andrew will forever be a Dragon, and before that, a proud Wilde Lake HS Wildcat.
Thank you to Dr. Cheryl J. Campo for her amazing work with all of our dynamic student researchers! It really made my day to see our best and brightest on display with faculty and students from throughout the MSCHE region.
Dragon Country is where research and community outreach catches fire!
